It's finally over, week 1 is in the books. It saw some huge performances, an inordinate amount of injuries, lots of shit talking, and more. My favorite part of it was the amount of hate Domingo Santana received, for some reason. See exhibits A through C, below:

Week 1 MVP:
NOT DAVE ROBERTS. Why? Because he Garko'd me, in the managing sense.
Going into Sunday night baseball, the Schatzy Turtles and Fuzzy Kiwis were tied up at 5-5, and even tied up at 5-5 on the bench. Our scores were so close, that even our bench ERA was all the way tied at 5.855.
The Dodgers played that night, and on my bench was reliever Joe Kelly. Sure enough, he actually pitched and it went like this:
- Dave Roberts brings him in with 2 outs in the 4th inning, despite him being the Dodgers set up man.
He strikes out Trevor Story. Kiwi's now winning.
- Dave Roberts brings him out again, to start the 5th. Gives up a hit, but then gets the next 3 outs. Kiwi's still winning. He's now pitched 1.1 innings
- Dave Roberts brings him out A G A I N to start the 6th. He strikes out the first batter, then gives up two singles in a row before Roberts yanks him. Caleb Ferguson replaces Kelly, and promptly has both runners score. Kelly's final line: 1.2 IP, 2 ER. Game over, Turts win.
Fuck Dave Roberts.
