Wombat Simulation - Playoffs Round 1

AWL Round 1:

Pez Sox vs Kingslayers

Game 1: Pez Sox win 6 to 4. Pez bullpen comes through after Jon Lester labors through 4 innings. Rafael Betancourt and Erik Bedard shut down the Kingslayers for the win. Mike Trout still gets his though, hitting a home run.

Game 2: Kingslayers win 4 to 3. Another game of excellent bullpen work, this time the Kingslayers use theirs to win. Fransisco Liriano pitches 2 innings of no hit baseball, with 4 K's, and picks up the win.

Game 3: Kingslayers win 5 to 1. Ugly ass Gil Meche gives up 5 ER in 4 innings and the Pez offense is stifled by Chein Ming Wang.

Game 4: Kingslayers win 3 to 1. Mike Trout with a 3 run bomb in the 1st, and that's all it took.

Game 5: Kingslayers win 10 to 2. Nail in the coffin, a statement game from the Slayers to the rest of the league.

Kingslayers advance to ALCS

Ham Sandwiches vs Megalomaniacs

Game 1: Ham Sandwiches win 1 to 0. Aaron Judge blasts a home run for the only run of the game, in a pitchers duel between Anibal Sanchez and Felix Hernandez.

Game 2: Ham Sandwiches win 8 to 5. 2007 version of Curtis Granderson goes 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs and runs, and a stolen base in the game. My boy.

Game 3: Megalomaniacs win 6 to 3. Midget fuck Jose Altuve goes 3 for 5, scoring 3 times in this game.

Game 4: Megalomaniacs win 10 to 9. The Hammies score 6 runs in the bottom of the ninth, but fall one short of tying the game. Series tied up 2 to 2.

Game 5: Ham Sandwiches win 5 to 1. Anibal Sanchez dominates again, pitching 8 innings and giving up only 3 hits.

Game 6: Ham Sandwiches win 2 to 1. Aaron Judge strikes again, hitting a home run off Scott Kazmir in the 6th, in what would be the deciding run of the series. The team of destiny is destroyed.

Ham Sandwiches advance to ALCS

Time Consumers vs Two Starts

Game 1: Time Consumers win 7 to 6. The game goes to 10 innings until Yaisel Puig singles in Paul Goldschmidt from third. The Consumers hold on in the bottom of the 10th for the upset.

Game 2: Two Starts win 14 to 2. Revenge game, with Cy winner Josh Johnson only lasting 2.2 IP, giving up 5 ER.

Game 3: Two Starts win 5 to 2. Max Scherzer goes 8 strong, and Zach Godley closes out the game for a save.

Game 4: Time Consumers win 5 to 4. This time its Roy Oswalt who lasts less than 3 IP, giving up all 5 Time Consumer runs.

Game 5: Two Starts win 6 to 3. Chase Headley and David Wright both homer, and Cliff Lee has a solid outing.

Game 6: Time Consumers win 3 to 2. Josh Johnson redemption, as he goes 6 IP and K's 10, with no ER.

Game 7: Two Starts win 9 to 2. David Wright hits another bomb, and Andrew McCutchen hits his first of the playoffs. It was close, but the league favorite to win it all moves on.

Two Starts advance to the NLCS

Crab Cakes vs Killer Pandas

Game 1: Killer Pandas win 2 to 1. Tim Lincecum only gives up 1 ER as the game's starter, but walks 5. Cakes have to use their pen early, and their offense cant get it going against Jose Fernandez.

Game 2: Killer Pandas win 4 to 3. Up by one run in the bottom of the ninth, the Crab Cakes bring in closer Tim Hudson to close it out. He quickly gives up a base hit, then throws a meatball to Wilson Contreras, who smashes a bomb into right field. Game over. Panda Yards goes insane.

Game 3: Crab Cakes win 8 to 0. Alfonso Soriano hits 2 bombs in the routing of Brandon Webb.

Game 4: Crab Cakes win 8 to 7. The game goes extra innings, and in the bottom of the 11th Charlie Blackfish walks it off with a solo bomb. Crabby Paddy Stadium goes insane. Once down 0-2, the Crab Cakes have tied the series.

Game 5: Crab Cakes win 3 to 1. Tim Lincecum K's 12, and Aaron Nola strikes out the side for the save.

Game 6: Killer Pandas win 7 to 2. Noah Syndergaard gives up an Albert Pujols bomb, and that's it. On to game 7.

Game 7: Killer Pandas win 8 to 2. This one wasn't even as close as it looks, with Stanton crushing the Crab Cakes. This means both of Jons teams are in the championship series. If both make it to the world series, I'm deleting the league and not doing any more updates.
